Pacquiao Vs. Cotto Fight Set For November 14

Las Vegas, NV (AHN) – The venue has been set for the world title matchup between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto: November 14 at the MGM Grand.
The contracts are still being hammered out, but the weight has been set at a slight 145 pounds though it will be one of the “biggest “fights this year.
Pacquiao (49-3-2) brings steel fists that have tasted 37 knockouts in their time, including names like Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales.
Cotto brings a nearly perfect 34-1 record, having suffered his only loss to Antonio Margarito on July 26, 2008 at The Battle.
Margarito was promptly suspended one fight later after it was discovered that he had loaded his gloves with plaster inserts to give himself a power edge.
The reasoning and explanations given before the California State Athletic Commissioner were sufficient enough to only warrant a year suspension.
His fight with Cotto is often a target of skepticism – and is a focus of controversy at best by the boxing world.
The next eight weeks will be spent training, according to Pacquiao, to put him in the right frame of mind and body to take on Cotto, who has specifically dropped to a new low weight for the competition.
Cotto has been working out leisurely for the last four weeks, and has dropped more than 10 pounds.

Pacquiao/Cotto 24-7 Episode 3 (Video)
Sunday, November 8, 2009
Watch this recent episode of the documentary series of Pacquiao vs. Cotto 24/7 which features the last week training of Manny Pacquiao at Wild Card gym at Los Angeles.
Here’s the video:
It shows on this series that Pacquiao is really boxing fans favorite and Cotto is seems never heard from the story.
Cotto’s Power vs. Pacquiao’s Speed
Why I find Cotto vs. Pacquiao to be a very interesting fight? It is because, it shows the clash of power and speed in one boxing event. Actually I don’t think of the undercards anymore. I just want the main event to happen. Miguel Cotto is known to have a power puncher because in every punches that he made he always bring along his body (which I think a disadvantage for him not an advantage, that my opinion) while Manny Pacquiao, despite to be known to have strong punches during his previous fights, he is more popular with his speed.
The boxing show of November 14 in Las Vegas will surely build some great woah, hooray and yehey as the two gloves of the two fighters collides and one body will kiss the canvass. The question who will be that be is to be answered on the fight night. So don’t miss it, you can try to watch it here.
