Google Instant Launch Event Free Live Streaming

As people spend more time on the Internet, they want greater control over who has access to their online communications. Many Internet services use what are known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections to encrypt information that travels between your computer and their service. Usually recognized by a web address starting with “https” or a browser lock icon, this technology is regularly used by online banking sites and e-commerce websites. Other sites may also implement SSL in a more limited fashion, for example, to help protect your passwords when you enter your login information.

Years ago Google added SSL encryption to products ranging from Gmail to Google Docs and others, and we continue to enable encryption on more services. Like banking and e-commerce sites, Google’s encryption extends beyond login passwords to the entire service. This session-wide encryption is a significant privacy advantage over systems that only encrypt login pages and credit card information. Early this year, we took an important step forward by making SSL the default setting for all Gmail users. And today we’re gradually rolling out a new choice to search more securely at https://www.google.com.

When you search on https://www.google.com, an encrypted connection is created between your browser and Google. This secured channel helps protect your search terms and your search results pages from being intercepted by a third party on your network. The service includes a modified logo to help indicate that you’re searching using SSL and that you may encounter a somewhat different Google search experience, but as always, remember to check the start of the address bar for “https” and your browser lock indicators:

Today’s release comes with a “beta” label for a few reasons. First, it currently covers only the core Google web search product. To help avoid misunderstanding, when you search using SSL, you won’t see links to offerings like Image Search and Maps that, for the most part, don’t support SSL at this time. Also, since SSL connections require additional time to set up the encryption between your browser and the remote web server, your experience with search over SSL might be slightly slower than your regular Google search experience. What won’t change is that you will still get the same great search results.

A few notes to remember: Google will still maintain search data to improve your search quality and to provide better service. Searching over SSL doesn’t reduce the data sent to Google — it only hides that data from third parties who seek it. And clicking on any of the web results, including Google universal search results for unsupported services like Google Images, could take you out of SSL mode. Our hope is that more websites and services will add support for SSL to help create a better and more consistent experience for you.

We think users will appreciate this new option for searching. It’s a helpful addition to users’ online privacy and security, and we’ll continue to add encryption support for more search offerings. To learn more about using the feature, refer to our help article on search over SSL.

Using Google today, you may have noticed that something feels slightly different — the look and feel of our search results have changed! Today’s metamorphosis responds to the increasing richness of the web and the increasing power of search — revealing search tools on the left and updating the visual look and feel throughout. While we are constantly rolling out small changes and updates, today’s changes showcase the latest evolutions in our search technology, making it easier than ever to find exactly what you’re looking for.

What’s new and what’s changed?
We’ve added contextually relevant, left-hand navigation to the page. This new side panel highlights the most relevant search tools and refinements for your query. Over the past three years, we’ve launched Universal Search, the Search Options panel and Google Squared, and it’s those three technologies that power the left-hand panel.

Universal Search helps you find the most relevant types of results for your search. The top section of the new left-hand panel builds on Universal Search by suggesting the most relevant genres of results for your query and letting you seamlessly switch to these different types of results. The “Everything” option remains our essential search experience with different types of results integrated into the main results, but now you can also easily switch to just the particular type of results you are looking for.

Our expandable Search Options panel launched last spring brought many rich slice-and-dice tools to search. The new left-hand navigation showcases these tools and enables you to get a different view of your results. Perhaps you’d like to see images from each of the results or just the newest information? These options are all on the left, and our technology will suggest the tools that are most relevant and helpful to your query.

Google Squared (available on Google Labs) helps you find and compare entities. Our “Something different” feature builds on the technology in Google Squared to find other entities that are related to your query, so you can easily explore not only the results for your current query but other related topics.

In addition to the left-hand side changes, we’ve updated our look and feel in terms of our color palette and our logo. These changes are slight, keeping our page minimalist and whimsical, but make our overall look more modern.

The new design refreshes and streamlines the look, feel and functionality of Google, making it easier to pinpoint what you’re looking for. It’s powerful, yet simple. Today’s changes are the latest in our continuing efforts to evolve and improve Google. We’ve been testing these changes with users over the past few months, and what we’re launching today reflects the feedback we’ve received.. We want to ensure that the Google you use today is better than the one you used yesterday, and these latest changes open up many possibilities for future features and enhancements.

Google Product Optimization can be achieve by fully optimization of your data feeds. Most of the feed submission scripts like shopping carts are not using the actual or right attributes of the Products.  Please follow these steps for Optimizing your Google Products to get more Ranking:

1. Proper Product Filenaming. Rename your product name with the exact product or brandname, model name, product category and manufacturer. Use Keyword/Filename Optimization Short and Long tail Keywords.
2. Use the Exact description or product information as well as the ISBN, SKU or UPC but make sure that your product information should be match to your product web page.
3. Maximize your Product Description from around 40-60 characters. This is also the Factor of Keyword Relevancy.
4. Include your Product Category URL for your website. Google stated that many merchants enter the Google Product Categories which is wrong.

8. Encourage Customer to create Rating on Bizrate or Shopping.com  and some other Trusted Review Site.
9. If you get ranked on your products, there are chance that your feeds can be syndicated via Google Data API and of course can receive exposure.  And your products will be listed on Organic Search.

10.  Before Submission, create first a few products and manually submit it for a test.

Microsoft’s hot new portable media player is coming to retail stores on September 15th, 2009. The Zune HDmakes a number of improvements over its predecessor, including touch screen, internet browser and high definition video-out feature. While we originally hoped that Microsoft was planning to release a handheld gaming device, we will have to wait a little bit longer because the Zune HD currently doesn’t play games.

Pricing for the device does give it the upper hand in the crowded media player market, though. The 16GB Zune will set customers back an estimated $219.99, while a larger 32GB variety costs $289.99. Readers will notice that this is slightly cheaper than the anticipated price for Sony’s PSP Go, which arguably contains slightly less impressive technology (see Zune HD features below). Pricing also puts the Zune HD squarely in competition with Apple, whose comparable 16 GB iPod Touch retails for $275.
